  11. I realise that, but we have modified the original proposal quite a lot to
  12. match the German standard. I think Shift+CTRL+S is very logical and
  13. follows the them of the new standard to use Shift+CTRL as extensions for
  14. CTRL commands. People will take 10 minutes to get used to the new standard
  15. which on the whole they will find easier to remember.

  18. Ah, but you use the opposite logic when saying why we should keep 
  19. Ctrl-A.  If they'll take 10 minutes to get used to the new standard, then 
  20. they'll take 10 minutes to learn something other than ctrl-a, and they 
  21. won't be bothered by it since ctrl-a will do absolutely nothing.
